Design Wall Monday

I love Christmas, but I am so glad to get back to quilting and planning for the next year. Last year I followed Bunny Hill Designs free Block of the Month and finally finished in October this year. So of course, I had to do it this year too. So far, this is all I've done and hope to get it finished in a lot less time than the previous one! Ha!

On my design wall are three little blocks that are ready to be stitched down. I love to do turned-edge applique using starch and my mini-iron.

  1. So cute!! Love the little bird on the bottom block. Will you embroider their faces??

  2. I like your snowman blocks. I'll have to try the starch technique; thanks for the prompt.

  3. Thanks! I still have to stitch them down, and will embroider all the details. If you want appliques with smooth-even edges, give the starch method a try, you'll love it! :)
